Spain’s Rodri, France’s Kylian Mbappe, and Spanish duo Unai Simon and Pau Cubarsi were among the standout stars recognised with top honours as the FIFA World Cup 2026 came to a thrilling end.
Following an action-packed tournament, FIFA unveiled the list of individual award winners, celebrating exceptional performances across all positions.
Rodri played a pivotal role in Spain’s triumph, dominating midfield throughout the competition. His consistency and influence earned him the prestigious adidas Golden Ball as the tournament’s best player, helping Spain secure their second World Cup title.
Kylian Mbappe once again proved his world-class quality, finishing as the tournament’s top scorer. The French forward netted an impressive 10 goals in eight matches, claiming the adidas Golden Boot despite France missing out on a third consecutive final appearance.
Spain’s goalkeeper Unai Simon was equally outstanding, recording seven clean sheets in eight matches. His heroics, including a crucial performance in the final against Argentina, earned him the adidas Golden Glove.
Young defender Pau Cubarsi continued his rapid rise in global football, winning the FIFA Young Player Award. The Spanish star was instrumental in a defence that conceded just one goal throughout the tournament.
