Smart City Estate Launched in Kwara
Real Estate Firm Offers Affordable Land and Infrastructure to Investors

A Real Estate Agency, Orbit Africa, has presented smart city initiatives to investors of landed properties in Kwara.
Mr. Wisdom Okoko, the Co-founder of Orbit Africa Properties, stated this on Monday during the allocation of landed properties to clients and investors at Oke-Oyi Town in the Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara.
The programme also includes the presentation of Certificates of Occupancy (C of O) and Survey Plans to owners at the newly established Kigali Estate.
Okoko explained that the estate was expected to complement the smart city project and initiative of the Kwara Government.
“We started the development of the estate where we are going to be providing basic infrastructure and amenities including water, electricity, roads, fencing and security.
“Presently, we have over 100 clients who have subscribed to the project. We have come for the first batch of the allocation, and this is simply giving the people their lands,” he said.
According to him, Orbit Africa is keying into the developmental strive of the state government and solving the housing challenge in the state.
“We are also showing investors outside Kwara to see the need to come and have a home in the state,” he said.
Okoko also said that the lands were relatively cheap and affordable, adding that students, youth corps, and other government workers could buy and pay installmentally.
“As long as you can afford N10,000 naira, you can own a property in the estate.
“This company understands that owning a piece of earth is important and necessary. Every individual should make sure they own a piece of the earth.
“This should not be like the traditional way we do it, where people just acquire land in the villages.
“People should buy lands with trusted real estate agents whereby as the estate are providing infrastructure facilities, it is affecting the value of your lands,” he advised.
Okoko, therefore, advised people to invest in landed properties with a trusted real estate company to avoid losing their hard-earned money.
Also, Alhaji Saliu Odedeji, the Baale of Oke-Oyi community, commended Orbit Africa for bringing development to the area.
He asserts that the Oke-Oyi community was known for peaceful co-existence with many tribes and assured the new land owners of peace and harmony. (NAN)
