Third Estate Pledges Continued Support for Ilorin Emirate’s Growth

Association Highlights Achievements in Healthcare, Education, and Youth Empowerment at 25th Annual Eid-el-Kabir Get-Together

Third Estate, a socio-cultural association of eminent indigenes of the Ilorin Emirate, Kwara, has reaffirmed its commitment to the emirate’s development in all spheres of life.

The association’s president, Malam Ahmed Ladan-Gobir, stated this while speaking at its 2026 Eid-el-Kabir Get-together in Ilorin on Thursday.

Ladan-Gobir said the association would enhance the emirate by ensuring unity, peace, love, and by preserving the community’s culture, norms and values.

He described the annual gathering as an avenue for members, stakeholders, and friends to strengthen unity, review achievements, and renew commitment to the association’s vision and objectives.

The president noted that the association recorded significant achievements in areas of healthcare, education, youth empowerment, and spiritual development during the year under review.

He noted the annual medical outreach held in December 2025 at Aisha Buhari Mother and Child Hospital, Eiyenkorin, Ilorin, as one of the achievements.

He said that beneficiaries received free eye treatment and eyeglasses at the outreach.

According to the president, the association also awarded educational scholarships and supported two University of Ilorin indigent students from the emirate.

He said that the initiative reflects the association’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and supporting promising youths within the emirate.

Ladan-Gobir commended members of the executive committee, partners, and supporters for their financial and moral contributions toward the successful implementation of the association’s programmes.

He pledged that the association would build on its achievements in 2027 and beyond as it continues to advance programmes expected to impact people of the emirate.

In his remarks, Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara commended the association for complementing the state government’s efforts across various sectors with its programmes and policies.

AbdulRazaq pledged to support the association more to keep promoting the emirate’s culture and heritage.

He urged the members, made up of professionals, intellectuals, public officials, and business leaders, to sustain the momentum toward the development of the emirate and Kwara in general.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the association’s get-together, the 25th edition in its series, was attended by many eminent personalities from all walks of life.
