Kwara State Announces Monthly Sanitation Exercise

Enforcement and Penalties for Non-Compliance

The Kwara State Government, has directed the Chairmen in the 16 Local Government Areas of the state to replicate a full fledge and effective environmental sanitation excercise, in each of their respective local government, with immediate effect.

The Commissioner for Environment Hajia Nafisat Musa Buge, gave this directive in Ilorin today, as

part of the information passed to the Pre-Sanitation exercise forum, in her office.

The Commissioner who had earlier appreciated the tremendous achievements of the ministry in the past year, noted that; “now that we have a well constituted leadership structure at the grassroots, it is therefore expected that the 16 Local Government Areas will strategies, to ensure compliance with the sanitary laws and restrictions of both vehicular and human movements during the 3 hours period of the monthly sanitation exercise’.
