The Federal Fire Service has appointed Assistant Controller of Fire (ACF) Ibrahim Sarafadeen as the new State Controller of its Kwara State Command.
The development was announced in a statement issued in Ilorin by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Ibrahim. Sarafadeen officially assumed office following the handover by the outgoing State Controller, Bakare Mary, at a ceremony attended by senior officers and personnel.
In her farewell remarks, Bakare thanked God and the management of the service for the opportunity to serve, while appreciating officers for their support. She urged them to extend the same cooperation to her successor and maintain discipline and professionalism.
Responding, Sarafadeen commended his predecessor for her leadership and pledged to build on her achievements. He assured personnel of his commitment to strengthening operations and enhancing fire safety across the state.
Sarafadeen, an indigene of Ilorin West Local Government Area, joined the Federal Fire Service in 2012 and holds a degree in Sociology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. The handover ceremony featured the presentation of a citation, transfer of the service flag, and signing of official documents.
