Penalty Shootout Decides Thrilling Encounter Between Foresight and Unicorn

Kwara United Football Club’s Under-19 Team and Foresight Football Academy on Thursday qualified for the next round of the Kwara edition of the 2025 President Federation Cup competition.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that a resilient Foresight Football Academy came from a goal down to draw 1-1 and edge out Unicorn Football Club on penalty kicks.

This was in the second match of the two games played in the competition on Thursday.

After a 1-1 draw at the end of normal time, the duo of Jamiu Olanrewaju and Mujeeb Shuaib missed their kicks to hand Foresight a 5-4 win.

On their part, Kwara United Under-19 needed an own goal to send Kasam Football Club out of the oldest football competition in the country.

Foresight will now lock horns with Ka’ah Football Academy on Saturday, while Kwara United Under-19 will take on their main team. (NAN)
