University of Ilorin Inspects Kwara Poly for Affiliation of 13 New Degree Programmes

Collaboration Aims to Expand Access to Quality Higher Education in Kwara

University of Ilorin’s Affiliation Team on Thursday conducted a comprehensive resource inspection at the Kwara State Polytechnic, paving the way for the take-off of 13 new degree programmes.

The inspection, a crucial requirement for affiliation with the University of Ilorin, assessed the Polytechnic’s facilities and resources to ensure they meet the necessary standards.

The team, led by Prof. Yahya Oyewole, expressed its appreciation of the institution for considering an affiliation with the university.

“I can assure the Polytechnic of a greater relationship and also commend the management for taking the initiative to expand the institution’s academic programmes,” Oyewole said.

He assured that the collaboration would foster greater academic relationships between the two institutions.

Responding, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Engr. Abdul Muhammed thanked the team for the visit and pledged to provide all necessary support for the success of the programmes.

“I am optimistic that the affiliation will help reduce the university’s admission problem in the state by providing more opportunities for young people to access quality education,” he said.

The proposed degree programmes, which are expected to take off soon, will be run in affiliation with the University of.

They will provide students with the opportunity to earn university degrees in various fields.
