New Road Upgrades in Ibadan to Boost Economy
Eleyele Dam Road Rehabilitation Among Key Projects

The Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OYSROMA) has described transportation infrastructure as vital to the state’s economic growth.
The Chairman, of OYSROMA, Mr Busoye Ogunlade, said this on Thursday while opening the newly rehabilitated road leading to Eleyele Dam in Ibadan.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the road is among the township road projects recently embarked upon by OYSROMA.
Ogunlade, who maintained that good road networks would improve the quality of life in the state, reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to infrastructure renewal and urban development.
“Presently, the Oyo State Government is embarking on a massive rehabilitation of roads which encompasses the rehabilitation and upgrading of four strategically important roads.
“These roads include Zion Plaza-Olusoji; Bashorun Oluwo-nla, and Agbowo roads,” he said.
He added that the rehabilitated Eleyele Dam Road, serving as a diversion for those heading toward Ologuneru Road, would ease traffic on the Eleyele-Sango Road.
According to him, the upgraded road will reduce travel time, minimize flooding, and boost property and business values in the axis.
The OYSROMA boss, therefore, called for community involvement in road maintenance to ensure sustainability. (NAN)
