State Partners with FAO to Revolutionize Agriculture with 12 Tech Domains

Kwara State Government has commended the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for introducing the 12 digital agricultural domains aimed at accelerating the transformation to more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agri-food systems. This initiative supports better production, nutrition, environment, and overall quality of life, leaving no one behind.

The Commissioner for Livestock Development, Hon. Oloruntoyosi Thomas, affirmed that this tech-driven approach aligns with the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration’s vision for livestock transformation in Kwara.

At the inception workshop of the Digital Village Initiative, Kwara, Lagos, and Anambra States pledged their commitment to applying digital solutions to drive food system transformation across Nigeria.

Hon. Thomas commended the FAO and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security for the partnership and expressed optimism about the benefits it holds for Kwara’s farmers and herders, particularly in enhancing data practices and improving market access.
