Kwara State College of Education Graduates 1809 Students

13th Combined Convocation Ceremony Celebrates Academic Success

The Kwara State College of Education, Oro, in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara, on Friday graduated 1809 students in its combined convocation ceremony.

 

The College’s provost, Prof. Mukaila Aremu, stated this in Ilorin during the institution’s 13th combined convocation ceremony, themed “A nation in transition: The Role of Education for Sustainability.”

 

According to Aremu, the graduands are between the 2018 and 2024 academic sessions.

 

“1792 students were awarded National Certificate of Education (NCE), while 17 students were awarded Professional Diploma of Education (PDE).

 

“I thank Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara for the unweary support of his government, which has assisted the institution in achieving an excellent performance,” he said.

 

 

He, thereafter, presented the graduating students to AbdulRazaq for the presentation of the Nigeria Certificates in Education (NCE).

 

 

AbdulRazaq commended the management of the college for its efficiency in human capacity building, which he said, helped in the educational development of the nation.

 

The governor, represented by the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mary Arinde, appreciated the achievements of the school in equipping the necessary values and skills to potential teachers in society.

 

He urged the graduating students to display decency and diligence in imparting quality education for humanity and commended the college for its tireless efforts and dedication to upholding excellence.

 

“Education remains the cornerstone of sustainable development and the key to unlocking the potentials of our youths.

 

“Your commitment to training competent educators and professionals has not gone unnoticed and it is heartwarming to witness the fruits of your labor on a day like this”, he said. (NAN)
