The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has unveiled a direct payment feature on its Intelligent Company Registration Portal (iCRP), replacing the previously used Remita gateway with a new platform called ReVOps.
The development, which follows a scheduled portal maintenance between April 17 and 20, 2026, is part of broader efforts by the commission to improve service delivery and enhance transparency in government revenue collection.
With the new system, users can now make payments directly through ReVOps for a range of CAC services, including Annual Returns, Change of Business Address, Change of Name, Certified True Copies, and Status Reports, among others.
The commission said the switch was driven by the need to simplify the payment process, reduce delays, and improve the overall experience for businesses and entrepreneurs accessing its services.
The move also aligns with the Federal Government’s ongoing push toward digital public service reform, with a specific focus on strengthening revenue monitoring and closing gaps that could lead to revenue leakages.
The update comes amid heightened attention to cybersecurity concerns surrounding government digital platforms, with the CAC signalling its intent to tighten system controls alongside the payment transition.
For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and individual entrepreneurs, the change is expected to make business registration and regulatory compliance faster and more straightforward.
The CAC said it remains committed to advancing its digital transformation agenda, with improved payment infrastructure forming a key part of its strategy to modernise public service delivery in Nigeria.
