BildUp’s AI EdTech: Nigeria’s Leap into Personalized Learning

Indigenous Software Promises Personalized Learning Revolution

BildUp, an indigenous software company has unveiled its first ever indigenous Artificial Intelligence (AI) software to help in teaching and learning.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Mr Chibuike Aguene, in Abuja on Monday.

Aguene said software, which he described as Nigeria’s first of such technologies, was unveiled in Enugu at the weekend.

Aguene highlighted the global importance of AI and its transformative potential.

He said that the indigenous technology would redefine and transform the nation’s education system, boost impressive capabilities, including independent thinking, student assessment, and personalized learning solutions tailored to individual’s learning style.

“Our nation cannot be left behind. What we are witnessing today is the first African indigenous breakthrough in AI technology, aimed at redefining and transforming our educational system.

“We are happy and excited to announce this breakthrough innovation that will redefine the way students learn, practice, and succeed.

“And also, what we are witnessing today is a full demonstration of the power of AI in helping students’’ he said.

The BildUp CEO asserted that the AI software was fully developed locally.

“What is very important and interesting about this super AI is that it can think independently and understand students’ proficiency level in various subjects.

“It understands their learning style and uses that to create a personalised learning solution for them,” he said.

Aguene said Nigeria could not afford to lag in the use of AI, particularly in the area of education.

“One of the greatest problems we have in the education sector is one solution for all.

“But recently, there has been serious attention on issues concerning AI. The Federal Government has been talking about how it wants Nigeria to lead in this space.

“So, we are excited today to announce the full power of AI. This is a full expression of intent.

“Every student now can have access to a personal tutor that is super intelligent, smart, thinks independently, reasons, and uses that knowledge to create a personalized learning experience for the different students,’’ he said.

Aguene dismissed claims in some quarters that AI would soon take over jobs such as teaching.

Teachers are ggreatpeople. Rather, what we have built is to enhance what they are doing to enable them to achieve better results.

“Artificial Intelligence drives us to explore uncharted territories and break new ground.

“Together, we are not just building technology; we are shaping the future. Our minds are open, our ambitions are high, and our passion for progress is boundless.

“In this space, we believe in the relentless pursuit of knowledge, the beauty of collaboration, and the power of perseverance,” he said. (NAN)
